Stuart joined Assay Advisory as Consulting Partner in 2017, following two years as a Group Partner with Shirlaws Group.
Stuart helps business owners and management teams enhance the value of their business, creating and translating clear strategic direction into dynamic and aligned commercial actions across the entire organization. He believes that unlocking the potential of your brand and your people simultaneously is at the heart of great business success.
Prior to this, Stuart enjoyed almost thirty years working with some of the world’s favourite food brands. Most recently, he was part of the management team at Burton’s Biscuit Company, initially as Chief Marketing Officer and then as Chief Commercial Officer, that transformed the business resulting in the sale of the company to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, having created significant shareholder value in only for years. Burton’s won the Marketing Society’s Excellence Award for Marketing Leadership in 2014 in recognition of the transformation of the portfolio and the Marketing team.
Prior to Burton’s, Stuart held increasingly senior Marketing and Strategy positions with Cadbury, Kraft Foods and Premier Foods in various UK, International and European roles.
Stuart was awarded Fellowship of the Marketing Society and elected a Member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain in 2015, has an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Warwick and a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Manchester.
