Indra is an Analyst at Assay Corporate Finance and is based in London. He has worked on several domestic and cross-border transactions within various sectors including Lifesciences, Technology, Renewables and Business Services.
Prior to joining Assay, he worked at Norton Corporate Finance, a UK mid-market transaction advisory firm, where he helped international companies to grow globally, especially in the emerging markets though M&As, JVs, strategic alliances, partnerships and licensing deals.
His early career was spent at ICICI bank, a leading Indian multinational bank, where he helped Derivative Traders to improve their trading performance through technology. Following that, he moved to Georgia to help set up an Oil and Gas venture for a global conglomerate.
Indra holds an MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading and was awarded the academic achievement award for top performance. Prior to that he achieved a first class honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
Indra also holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Reading. His work on value creation and experiential learning in M&A has been published in the European Journal of Finance, a leading international finance journal. He has been invited to present his research at several global conferences including the European Financial Management Association (EFMA) conference in the Netherlands and the Behavioural Finance Working Group (BFWG) conference in London, where he was awarded the ICAEW award. Indra is a visiting fellow at the University of Reading and enjoys sharing his experience and insights with finance students and business leaders.
